- This route is compact, so pickup times, activity windows and day bags matter more than on a slow-paced itinerary.
- The trip combines volcano areas around Arenal, La Fortuna and Rincon de la Vieja with cloud forest activities around Monteverde.
What to bring
- Pack comfortable walking shoes, light rain jacket, warm layer, insect repellent, plus quick-dry clothes, dry bag or plastic pouch, swimwear, sandals, reef-safe sunscreen.
